SEAI is Ireland’s national sustainable energy authority. We work with householders, businesses, communities and government to create a cleaner energy future. The SEAI provides assistance to households to reduce their energy costs and emissions. The SEAI also supports communities to meet their energy goals through the Sustainable Energy Communities Programme.
The idea for the UCD Energy Calculator originated with joint research taking place between UCD Energy Institute and SEAI, stemming from a recognition that more should be done to help households understand smart electricity plans. The contribution of SEAI staff and researchers in the development of this site is gratefully acknowledged
This project has been made possible through Performance Funding from the Higher Education Authority. UCD Energy Institute is using this funding to develop a number of sustainability focused research projects, including the Energy Calculator.
